Personal Tax Manager

Exciting opportunity for a Personal Tax Manager to join a prominent, large, independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Huddersfield.
Offering a wide range of services for their variety of clients, this firm can assist with audit, accounts, tax, outsourcing, and corporate finance. This firm work with clients from all different sizes and structures, enabling you to gain a breadth of experience throughout your career.

About the role:

• Managing a mixed portfolio of personal tax clients (including directors, sole traders, partnerships, high net worth individuals, non-UK residents and beneficiaries of Trusts)
• Identifying tax planning opportunities
• Engaging in special advisory projects
• Involvement in P11D submissions
• Supporting junior members of the team with their training and development and reviewing Tax Returns which they have prepared.
• Communications with HM Revenue & Customs to seek clearance for tax strategies and to assist clients with enquiries where necessary.
• Engaging with clients on a regular basis and attending client meetings.

About you:

• Experience of working as a Tax Manager and managing a client portfolio.
• Basic understanding in all the main areas of tax (Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Stamp Duty Land Tax and VAT)
• The ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met
• Good communication skills and IT literacy
