GMP Command Team comprises the Chief Constable, Deputy Chief Constable, Assistant Chief Constables and Assistant Chief Officers who are responsible for the strategic direction of Greater Manchester Police. The Chief Officer Support Team supports the Chief Officers in day-to-day leadership, management, delivery and accountability.

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Constable and the Chief of Staff the Assistant Chief Constable's PA has a key role in supporting the delivery of the Assistant Chief Constable's executive responsibilities to the Office of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, the Combined Authority and wider Local Authority, Safeguarding, Community Safety, Criminal Justice and community partners.

Joining the Chief Officer Team as a Personal Assistant to the Assistant Chief Constable will be a rewarding and exciting role.

The role will require the successful candidate to provide excellent personal assistant, secretarial and diary management skills to support the Assistant Chief Constable, will involve daily liaison with other senior officers within GMP and other UK police forces, senior leaders from across the Greater Manchester community and range of other organisations to support and deliver GMP's business and development.

You will need experience and background in supporting senior colleagues in a large and dynamic organisation. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, the capability to communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues at all levels of community, commercial and volunteer organisations.

You will need to prioritise your work, work at a fast pace and often deliver to short deadlines. There will sometimes be some long-days and challenging situations but this is an exciting role, working at the most senior levels of GMP to deliver the vision of the Chief Constable to work to protect all those who live, work or visit Greater Manchester.
