Pensions Technician

FTC 12-18 Months up to £32,000

The Pensions Technician will be responsible for maintaining databases and systems, handling incoming communications, and undertaking member benefit calculations. The successful candidate will deliver excellent customer service and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of pensions administration and legislation. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, with the option for hybrid or flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining databases and systems to accurately reflect scheme members’ details
  • Handling incoming communications from members and third parties and resolving complex queries
  • Undertaking member benefit calculations
  • Engaging with administration systems provider to ensure accuracy of calculations
  • Checking calculations undertaken by colleagues

Knowledge & Experience

  • CII FA1/FA2 (Life Office Administration) or PMI CPA/CPE (Pension Administration/Essentials)
  • Significant pension administration experience
  • Good understanding of all aspects of pension provision and legislation
  • A methodical approach to routine work with a high regard for accuracy and detail
  • Self-drive and ability to motivate and support others
