PE Teacher / SEMH & SEN / Immediate Start / Southampton

Academics Southampton are currently supporting an Alternative Provision in Southampton City Centre to find a PE Teacher, either qualified or unqualified who is able to commit to a full-time, on-going, ideally temp to perm contract. The school are specialists in their field and cater for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and other associated needs such as autism. They are looking for someone suitable to start ASAP.

The provision aim to give students in Key Stages 4 and 5 an opportunity to access both academic and vocational qualifications. They deliver swimming, gym, boxing and do all activities both off-site and using the facilities within the city centre. As a PE Teacher you must be able to plan and deliver their NCFE Sports Course and more if you able to offer it. They are always looking at new subjects/activities they can offer to their young people.

As well as obtaining recognised qualifications they are also committed to preparing students for employment and adulthood pathways through bespoke curriculum's and supported work experience.
