Tradewind have been asked to source a female PE Teacher to work in a secondary school in a secondary school in Birmingham. The role starts from September 2024, full-time on a temporary supply basis with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.

The successful PE teacher will join a team with a breadth of experience between them. ECT's and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.

The school has a good reputation in the local community and high staff retention, aided by a strong SLT and teacher-led governing body who are committed to the school's continued improvement. Student progress, attainment and attendance.

This role will be teaching PE at KS3 and K4, as well as contributing to the school's extracurricular sports provision.

The school are seeking a Female PE teacher who is:

  • Committed to student progress and continually improving outcomes
  • Enthusiastic, dedicated and able to form a rapport with students in both PE lessons and extracurricular activities
  • Creative, engaging and continually developing their teaching practice
  • Has recent experience teaching KS3 & KS4 core PE in a UK secondary school
  • Committed to safeguarding and able to uphold the school's high standard of care for their pupils


The SLT here is in a class of their own, offering both unfaltering support to their staff and the expertise of experienced teachers. They prioritise staff retention and offer a strong CPD provision to ECT and experienced teachers alike. QTS is essential for this post as is the right to legally work in the UK. You will also need to provide a CV with a full 10 year work history and have an enhanced DBS.
