JB318: PDI/Workshop Engineer

Location: Uttoxeter

Salary: £15 – £16.50 Per Hour

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently supporting one of our established and expanding businesses in the search for a Workshop Engineer.

To provide onsite customer support to our range of machinery within the region, with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections.

Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sole responsibility for ensuring PDI work is carried out to the required standard and timeframe on all Construction Plant Equipment
  • Complete minor warranty and retail repairs on machines
  • Fitting attachments/kits to machines
  • Book machine stock in and out
  • Update group spreadsheets on the progress of machines, to ensure Sales can pre plan transport moves
  • Move machines from the depot to the compound
  • Ensure machines being delivered are ready for Transport Companies to collect
  • Support any apprentices with training and development
  • Always maintain the depot in a clean and presentable manner.
  • Support the Generator Team, at Marchington, as and when required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Forklift Truck License
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Machinery & Main
  • Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills
  • Interpersonal relationships
  • Efficiency
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Team player
