We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Technician to join a Contracting and Accounting firm based in the Stockport, Cheshire area.

Duties will include:

  • Making sure all payments are processed accurately
  • Processing payroll as per the clients’ requirements
  • Managing a collection of clients and ensuring checklist is completed each payroll
  • Assessment of the accurate PAYE and National Insurance on payslips
  • Assisting senior members of the payroll team with tasks, potentially taking on additional duties
  • Reconciling payments weekly
  • Dealing with incoming enquiries in a knowledgeable and efficient manner
  • Handling and resolving payroll technical queries
  • Meeting all deadlines and working under pressure with accuracy 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have at least one years’ experience in payroll processing
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Ideally qualified or part qualified with a payroll technician certificate
  • Have great attention to detail and possess organisational skills
  • Be hard working, have a strong work ethic and is willing to grow
  • Have a proactive and professional approach to delivering outstanding customer care
  • Be able build relationships with new and existing employees and clients
