Payroll Specialist (6 months)

Salary: £170-£180 per day

Location: Manchester Central/ Hybrid

Macmillan Davies are working again with this international law firm to find a superstar Payroll Specialist to provide additional support over the next few months.

You'll need to have a strong understanding of payroll systems, ideally ADP and have experience in processing payroll for medium to large sized businesses.

With a full understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, Taxable Benefits, Auto Enrolment & HMRC reconciliations, you'll work closely with the wider Payroll Team and Payroll Manager to ensure a timely and accurate completion of monthly payroll.

Providing an excellent customer service is key in this role so having a positive, can do approach and collaborative approach is essential.

More about the role;

  • To work alongside payroll providers to ensure the timely and accurate completion of the monthly payrolls, working to tight deadlines and challenging SLAs
  • Delivery of an efficient and effective payroll service, ensuring people are paid accurately and on time
  • Respond to Payroll queries through the Query Management System, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Process starters, leavers, absences, monthly changes, and calculate payments such as overtime, statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, Pensions and other adjustments.
  • To liaise closely with colleagues in the finance department, ensuring that monthly reconciliations for budget purposes are undertaken.

More About you;

  • Extensive experience of processing payrolls in a medium to large organisation
  • Full understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, Taxable Benefits, Auto Enrolment & HMRC reconciliations
  • Passionate to provide high quality customer service
  • Self-motivated, flexible and demonstrating strong evidence of a collaborative working style
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • Some knowledge of international payrolls would be advantageous but is not essential

This role is offered on an interim basis up to 6 months and requirement is to be onsite in Manchester is 2-3 days with 2-3 days working from home.
