The successful applicant will possess c3yrs+ end to end payroll processing experience within a practice accountancy/bureau environment. HOWEVER my client will also consider candidates from within an inhouse payroll processing role in any industry.

Your New Role as Payroll Manager:

You will be undertaking full end to end payroll duties for your own portfolio of major clients, overseeing and managing a team of 3 within payroll. This role offers a varied, interesting workload and the opportunity to study for your professional CIPP qualification and develop you career further to Payroll Director level in the future!

Day To Day Duties:

Duties will include but not limited to:

Undertaking full end to end payroll weekly/fortnightly/monthly payrolls on behalf of a number of clients, mostly smaller payroll employees with some larger prestigious client payrolls-
Full training can be provided on STAR/IRIS payroll system
Dealing with auto enrolment pension contributions and updating details with providers
Inputting payroll, running reports.
Resolving queries with clients and HMRC
Adding new starters/processing leavers.
Calculate statutory payments such as maternity, paternity and sick leave.
Updating employee/employer records
Undertaking manual calculations of payroll taxes and NI
Working through the end of year process
Staff management, training and development with some travel to another office from time to time.

Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply:

This is an excellent opportunity for am experienced Payroll Manager extensive knowledge of full end to end payroll processing within ideally accountancy/bureau/umbrella experience, however my client will consider payroll experience within another industry ! You will also possess excellent communication skills both face to face and over the telephone to deal with client queries in a polite, effective manner, together with strong numeracy skills and high level of attention to detail.
