Search are excited to be working exclusively with a large organisation in Birmingham who require an exceptional payroll manager to join their esteemed finance function. With over 9,000 employees this role is pivotal in the progression and running of the organisation.

This will be a perfect opportunity for someone with experience working within payroll, but looking to challenge themselves whilst progressing and learning from an exceptional line manager. With excellent flexibility and annual leave entitlements this is not a role to be missed. Alongside this there will be opportunity ti significantly increase your salary in excess of £60,000 within 18 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the payroll team.
  • Maintain full oversight of team deliverables and performance.
  • Establish and maintaining workflows and appropriate SLAs and KPIs on the team's activity.
  • Coach and support the Payroll team in their work and technical understanding.
  • Identify process improvements and efficiencies within system development.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with Payroll partners, suppliers, external organisations and bodies.
  • Manage third-party providers for overseas payroll activity.
  • Responsible for compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Support the implementation of company wide policies.
  • lead on project based payroll plans.

Person:

  • Relevant payroll experience for this opportunity.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Technical expertise within payroll.
  • Experience running and leading a team.
  • Highly competent with Microsoft office, in particular excel.

On Offer:

A salary worth up to £55,000 with the ability to increase to £60,000 and excellent benefits including a strong pension and extended annual leave, alongside a highly flexible hybrid working environment.
