Payroll Manager/Analyst - South Oxfordshire - Hybrid

Savant is supporting a Oxfordshire based client in their search for an experienced Payroll Manager / Analyst to join their busy finance team. As the subject matter expert, you will be responsible for providing professional advice, data, and audits of the payroll function to ensure employees are paid on time, accurately and in compliance with legislation

This role will be reporting directly into the Finance Manager and will ensure accurate and timely end to end processing of data within payroll deadlines. You will be partnering closely with the external payroll bureau for the UK payroll of circa 800 employees. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days being required to work from their head office location.

Duties include but are not limited to;

  • Managing the end to end payroll process and accumulation of accurate data.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with HR, Reward and Finance departments and working together on the system and process improvements.
  • Establishing and maintaining a relationship with the external payroll bureau to ensure payroll is delivered accurately, securely, timely, and compliantly.
  • Preparation of various reports as required by management or key stakeholders
  • Salary, benefits and allowance changes
  • Generate standard monthly reports as well any one-off reports required by the business
  • Prepare balance sheet control reconciliations
  • Respond and resolve queries from employees and management relating to payroll
  • Documentation and maintenance of Payroll processes

Requirements for the role:

  • CIPP qualification or studying towards
  • Proven experience in payroll, pensions and process improvement
  • Strong communication and team working skills
  • Extremely strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
