Payroll Manager

Reed Accountancy are thrilled to be working with an established client based in South Oxfordshire who are seeking a Payroll Manager to join their finance team, to oversee the company's payroll function. The ideal candidate will enjoy implementing and improving procedures, they will essentially be taking ownership of the payroll system as my client look to bring the payroll function inhouse from bureau. 

What is on offer:

• A salary up to £60,000
• 33.5% Pension 
• Flexi working scheme; hours above the contractually committed are accrued and given back as time off in lieu.

Day to day of the role:

• Leading the monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and reviewing payroll practices
• Providing guidance and regular collaboration with the HR team and Payroll Coordinator
• Develop and review payroll policies and procedures, to drive efficiency and continuous improvement. 
• Analyse and report on payroll data to internal stakeholders 
• Manage and ensure compliance for staff expenses 
• Responsible for ensuring year-end payroll data is accurate 
• Calculate budget for Competency Recognition Framework and Non-Consolidated Payments. 
• Implement approved pay remits, ensuring calculations of pay increases, bonuses and arrears are accurate. 
• Complete documentation for payroll system development, providing guidance and overseeing successful delivery to the wider business. 

Person specification:

• Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes & legislation. 
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
