Job Purpose
  • Manage c.150 payroll clients, both small and large across various business sectors.
  • Oversee a junior payroll team member, including workflow management, reviewing work, and providing training.
  • Lead client meetings and building trusted relationships, proactively handling queries.
  • Work closely with the accounts preparation team to provide payment summaries and any other required information.
  • Plan and process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
  • Process PAYE payments on behalf of clients.
  • Regularly audit documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Full processing and management of all pension schemes.
  • Preparation of CIS deduction sheets, verifying subcontractors, submitting CIS returns, CITB Levy
  • Process and submit P11Ds

The Successful Applicant
  • Proven track record of overseeing payroll within UK practice.
  • Proficient in using various software, including Sage Payroll and BrightPay.
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable, with an eagerness to progress.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good awareness of current affairs.
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver.
