Payroll & Finance Manager

We are supporting a company based in Chelmsford who are looking to recruit a permanent Payroll and Finance Manager to join a small and friendly finance team. This is a fully office-based position with free parking and a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 DOE. This is a full-time position (Monday-Friday) and is fully office based, with free parking on-site.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing payroll for the Group using the Cascade HR system
  • Motivate and lead finance team members
  • Assist with annual audit
  • Assist business managers to understand and improve their financial result
  • Review accounts to look for cost reduction opportunities
  • Assist with developing budgets and financial plans
  • Review cost allocations and coding
  • Manage and report cash flow by tracking transactions
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Assist with new software identification and implementation

To be successful for this position you need to be a positive leader and must have previous payroll experience. You must be able to work to deadlines whilst being highly organised. Ideally you will have 5 years experience within a similar position.
