Payroll Clerk | Full time and Permanent | Birmingham |Salary up to £26,000

Ashley Kate are proud to be working with our client in the manufacturing industry as they search for a Payroll Clerk to join the Payroll and Finance team. Reporting into the Payroll Manager you will processing the in house payroll in completely on-site position. Ideally you will have worked within a manufacturing or similar environment where you would have covered both hourly and monthly paid staff alongside different shift patterns.

Responsibilities:
·Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, utilising payroll software systems.
·Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity by accurately entering employee information, hours worked, deductions, and other relevant details.
·Calculate wages, bonuses, overtime, and other compensation accurately based on timekeeping records and company policies.
·Review time sheets and attendance records for accuracy and completeness.
·Address employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions promptly and professionally.
·Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
·Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as required.
·Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and resolve discrepancies.
·Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and industry best practices
·Support with Finance administration duties.

About you:
·Minimum 2 years experience processing in house payroll.
·CIPP or working towards (desirable)
·Experience with SAP (desirable)
·Experience working in the manufacturing industry (advantageous)
·Team player and excellent attention to detail
