Job Title: Senior Payroll Consultant
Company: Prestigious Accountancy Firm
Location: Wolverhampton (1 day per week)

Our client has experienced significant growth and now serves over 650 clients.

Position Overview:
We are recruiting a Senior Payroll Consultant to join our client's expanding team on a full-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking long-term career development within an established firm included a paid CIPP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Management:
    Oversee payroll processing for over clients, managing calculations of salaries, wages, bonuses, and additional payroll-related payments. Ensure timely and accurate processing using Sage Payroll software, incorporating changes in tax codes and deductions. Handle all payroll administration tasks, including onboarding new employees and managing terminations.

  • Compliance and Regulation:
    Keep abreast of pension legislation changes and ensure compliance in payroll processing and pension contribution management. Prepare and submit payroll-related tax filings in line with HMRC regulations. Maintain meticulous records and documentation to meet legal requirements.

  • Client Relations:
    Serve as the main point of contact for client enquiries related to payroll, offering timely and accurate information. Collaborate with clients to collect necessary payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and deliver exceptional service. Provide guidance on payroll best practices and regulatory compliance.

  • Analysis and Reporting:
    Produce and review payroll reports to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies. Analyse payroll data to uncover trends and insights, presenting findings to management when necessary. Assist in preparing financial summaries related to payroll expenses.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
  • Full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Study support for CIPP qualification

Candidate Requirements:

  • Reliable and committed to long-term career development.
  • Capable of managing workload independently in a relaxed environment.
  • Willingness to undergo refresher training if required.
  • Familiarity with pension legislation is advantageous.
  • Experience with Sage Payroll software is desirable.

Start Date:
Immediate start available upon successful selection.
