Reed Accountancy are excited to be working with a returning client who are looking to hire a People Systems Analyst within the HR and Payroll team. The successful candidate will use their analytical skills to address system challenges and shape solutions, supporting the embedding and improvement of Payroll and People (HR) processes within the organisation. Reporting to the People Systems Manager, this role requires maintaining an in-depth knowledge of system functionality and internal processes to support the organisations business requirements.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the People Systems Team on Payroll and People (HR) business process requirements and system delivery as directed by the People Systems Manager.
  • Utilise technical system expertise to diagnose and resolve system issues.
  • Critically evaluate information from multiple sources to understand and address underlying needs.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Payroll and People (HR) system elements and functionality.
  • Provide support and contribute to service delivery, ensuring SLAs are maintained and critical issues are raised appropriately.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of system-related business processes and ensure documentation is created for new processes.
  • Collaborate on the analysis and testing of new system functionality and defect resolution.
  • Evaluate new releases/functionality/fixes, participate in testing, and coordinate their application to live environments.
  • Ensure compliance with change request protocols and maintain new/additional requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based HR and Payroll systems, including implementation, improvement, and troubleshooting.
  • Problem-solving ability to troubleshoot payroll issues, establish system root cause, reconcile discrepancies, and propose solutions.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, legislation, and best practice.
  • Technical proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Pragmatic and systematic approach to problem-solving.
