About us

VERO HR (www.verohr.co.uk) is a rapidly growing HR outsourcing business based in Peterborough providing its UK wide and international client base with a full range of people services. Technology is key to how we engage with our clients, but our service delivery is based upon combining the benefits of tech with what we do best - the personal touch.

Having achieved a strong reputation for customer service excellence (we not only won The Peterborough Telegraph Customer Service Excellence award 2023, but were also a finalist at The Personnel Today national awards), we are always on the lookout for new team members who share our passion for great service too.

"Vero Pay" is a service offered exclusively to our clients, providing a fully managed, outsourced payroll service, using integrated HR and Payroll technology. We have invested heavily in Vero Pay including obtaining Bacs Approved Bureau (BAB) status. Due to the expansion of our client base, we are now looking for an additional Payroll Advisor to join our team.

About our opportunity

Based at our idyllic office location on the outskirts of Peterborough, working alongside the HR administration team, you will be responsible for delivering a fully managed payroll service to a range of clients across a variety of sectors, who you will form a strong relationship with.

In particular, you will:

  • Assist with the onboarding of new client payrolls.
  • Provide an end-to-end payroll service to clients, accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate pension administration, auto enrolment and interface with pension providers.
  • Answer client and employee queries.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who currently works in either an in-house role wishing to expand their experience or who currently works in a traditional payroll bureau wishing to broaden their skillset. What specifically makes this role different is that you will build an all-round payroll and pension administration experience and be involved in process improvement using the benefits of technology efficiency, working closely with the HR administration team. Our succession plan provides a real opportunity for career growth to a managerial role (for those candidates that want it), too.

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

With a friendly, approachable style you will have:

  • Experience in payroll processing.
  • A sound knowledge of current payroll legislation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and personal organisation.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products.
  • A "can do" positive attitude.

If you have a passion for the delivery of high-quality service and want to work in an environment where you genuinely are appreciated for what you do, then we want to hear from you!

Benefits

Why you will like working here:

  • An excellent salary and benefits package including life assurance, 25 days annual leave and even your birthday off!
  • The opportunity to participate in our share option scheme once eligible.
  • A very modern office environment on the outskirts of Peterborough with parking on-site and electric charging for your car.
  • Excellent development/promotional opportunities with an expanding business where you can really make an impact.
  • A tailored development plan and regular coaching sessions to take you to the next level, if you wish.

If you have the right attributes, skillset and feel you will be able to add value, then what are you waiting for...hit that apply button to find out more!
