Reed are working with a company in Burton and are seeking an experience Payroll Administrator to join the Finance team. 

The Payroll Administrator is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries in accordance with company policy, organizational timetables, and government legislation.

This role is permanent, full-time and hybrid working is available. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the payroll lifecycle, including calculations, processing monthly payrolls, and management reporting.
  • Handle payroll payments related to salary sacrifice arrangements, pensions, court orders, charities, statutory payments, and deductions, securing all necessary authorisations.
  • Generate accurate payroll reports and resolve any payroll discrepancies or errors.
  • Audit data input by verifying team members’ payroll entries against source documents.
  • Reconcile payroll totals each month and year-to-date, including tax, student loans, National Insurance, and statutory payments.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the payroll team and all stakeholders, including HR and Finance departments.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to all payroll-related queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, including statutory payments and deductions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to audit and reconcile payroll data.
  • Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, and other departments.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
