The role:

To finish prep patterns and moulds to the highest standards, using various hand tools.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Final preparation of patterns and moulds.
  • Using a variety of hand tools, small air tools and abrasive paper hand finish master patterns to the highest of standards.
  • Spray sealer to patterns then post spraying preparation.
  • Work to drawings and working instructions.
  • Help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Keep all equipment maintained.
  • Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Previous experience in a pattern shop or similar environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Good attention to detail is essential.
  • Able to follow work instructions.
  • Good awareness of health and safety.
  • Good verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Used to working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Flexible approach to whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Problem Solving skills.

Further Information:

  • Working hours are 8.00 am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
  • Overtime available subject to work schedule - at excellent overtime rates
  • 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Excellent career progression available
