Patent Paralegal

The successful candidate will collaborate with and assist a group of Patent Attorneys and Patent Paralegals. As a member of an expanding team, you will operate across various specialised Patent sectors, requiring flexibility and a keenness to acquire new abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Processing email correspondence
- Perform research and compile data as requested by attorneys
- Docketing, filing and maintenance of UK, PCT, EP, EP-PCT and foreign patent and design applications, including completing original forms, attending to the payment of official fees, understanding, and dealing with formalities procedures and reporting to clients
- Checking and reviewing draft correspondence prepared by Patent Support team members.
- Reviewing, responding to, and processing communications and instructions from clients or outside Counsel
- Handling cost and action schedules for client portfolios as requested by attorneys or clients
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Patent Paralegal (or working in a similar IP position)
- A team player, willing to assist other Paralegals and support staff when required
- Able to work to precise deadlines with the ability to prioritise instructions
- Able to handle multiple workstreams under limited supervision
