Job Title: Pastoral Support Worker

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Working Hours: Monday - Friday

Salary: £85 - £105 per day

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Pastoral Support Worker. This position is based in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, and offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Emotional Support:Offer a listening ear and emotional support to students or individuals facing challenges or difficulties.
  2. Behavioural Guidance:Work closely with students to promote positive behaviour and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.
  3. Crisis Intervention:Be prepared to assist in crisis situations, providing immediate support and liaising with relevant professionals when necessary.
  4. Collaboration with Stakeholders:Establish effective communication channels with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  5. Promote Well-being:Implement strategies to enhance the mental health and well-being of individuals, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  6. Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions and interventions for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a pastoral or support role within an educational or community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals requiring pastoral support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of the individuals supported.

Qualifications:

A relevant qualification in pastoral care, counselling, social work, or a related field is desirable but not essential. Previous experience and a genuine passion for making a difference are highly valued.

Working Hours:

The position requires commitment Monday through Friday, with flexibility to respond to the dynamic needs of the role.

Salary:

The salary for this position is competitive, ranging from £80 to £100 per day, depending on the applicants experience and qualifications.
