Part time Purchase Ledger Clerk - Yeovil - Up to: £26,000 FTE

Trial Balance Consulting have been assigned by a past client, a specialist in the hospitality sector, to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the small and friendly team in their Yeovil office. This position has been enjoyed by the current incumbent for the last five years, and it is now time for them to retire. This is a permanent role that is offered on a part time basis circa 24-25 hours per week. Whilst 5 short days is preferable, the client is open to amending the hours based on personal circumstances.

This role will suit candidates who have experienced higher volumes of AP work. Core responsibilities to include:


- Act as an initial point of contact for supplier enquiries and liaise with colleagues across all remits to resolve
- Creation and location of invoices ensuring appropriate VAT status and invoice coding
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Ensure payment authorisation of supplier invoices
- Assisting with month end procedures
- Assisting with AP system process improvements


Good all round purchase ledger experience is required, ideally using SAGE/ QuickBooks based systems. This is a relatively high volume role so accurate coding and posting skills will be essential. The successful candidate may be qualified by experience or part/fully AAT. This is a great opportunity to join a particularly friendly and long standing finance team within a successful and highly ethical business.
