Learning Support Assistant

A large, established community primary school in the Muswell Hill area of Haringey - North London are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support in their Early years phase in a Reception class, this will be working with 4-5 Year olds.

This is a part-time position working Monday to Friday mornings (8.30am-1pm) during school term time.

This role will be to work one-to-one with children with additional needs. You will provide a nurturing, kind, and safe environment. Encourage and motivate them to achieve their full potential. You will receive plenty of support from the SENDCo and class Teacher.

The role will be varied and requires someone who can adapt to different situations with ease. It would be perfect for someone who is looking for a rewarding and fulfilling position in the education sector.

  • Experience of working with children with SEND would be an advantage or experience in EYFS
  • A calm, kind and nurturing approach is required.
  • You will need to be able to use your own initiative and be able to work independently.

The primary school is in the leafy suburbs of Muswell Hill, with bus stops for access from local train/tube stations as well as having ample parking for those who prefer to drive.

The children are well behaved and have a calming environment in which they learn.
