Part-time KS1 Teacher - Kingston - ASAP start

Part-time Year 1 Teacher (Maternity Cover), 3 days a week

Location: Primary School near Kingston

Contract Type: Maternity Cover starting ASAP

Salary: Paid to Scale (Outer London)

We are seeking a part-time Year 1 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school near Kingston for 3 days a week. This role is a maternity cover for the summer term. Teachers with KS1 teaching experience are warmly welcomed to apply. ECTs who have done teaching placements in Year 1 are also welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to Year 1 students, following the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Create a nurturing and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, and a love for learning.
• Work collaboratively with your fellow Year 1 teacher to plan and implement a well-rounded curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.
• Establish effective communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on students' progress and achievements.
• Foster a safe and stimulating learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong understanding and experience of working with the KS1 curriculum
• Enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine passion for the well-being and development of young learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators
• ECTs (Early Career Teachers) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
