Part Time Junior Accountant - Creative Agency - London

We are looking for a part time Junior Accountant for a Creative Agency working in the fashion, editorial and advertising sectors. This is a permanent contract which can offer 20-30 hours per week. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Finance Manager with Accounts Payable, Receivables, Reconciliations and assisting with year end preparations.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Finance role, and has the ability to work in a fast paced environment, adhering to deadlines. We are also looking for someone with great time management skills along with the gravitas to adapt to a changing environment and be a hands on support to the wider team.

Please note this is a part time role, and there is flexibility on how you would like to spread the agreed hours over the week!

Key responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist in processing invoices and bills in our accounting system Xero
• posting journals, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure accurate information in our accounting system.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist Year end preparations: Support internal processes by providing documentation and answering inquiries.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information

Key skills:

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of UK GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Proficiency in accounting software Xero
• Proficiency in the English language
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
