Job Description
The Finance Manager will effectively manage the financial requirements of the business. They will provide financial management information and administrative support to a number of stakeholders to enable the supply of quality products to customers, the effective involvement in collaborative projects with outside organisations, the continued day to day running of the company and to enable the company to grow.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the effective use of the finance software Sage across the company, the overall administration and maintenance of the Sage software and being responsible for the integrity of all data into Sage
  • Preparation of year end accounts and liaison with external accountants
  • Daily update of cash flow reconciliation
  • Maintaining the integrity of the VAT return (quarterly and submission to HMRC)
  • Bank reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Credit control - chasing of outstanding sales invoices and allocation of payments in Sage
  • Provision of monthly payroll information for preparation of payslips and pension calculations by external accountants and inclusion of information in Sage
  • Responsibility for paperwork, legal requirements, HMRC requirements, etc. for business.
  • Responsible for processing of purchase invoices - matching to delivery notes, purchase orders and posting to Sage
  • Responsible for making payments for purchase invoices, expenses, payroll, etc within agreed timeframes
  • Liaise with the 'Shipper/Packer' with reference to delivery notes and associated paperwork for invoicing etc.
  • Creation of sales invoices and email to customer
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly bank revaluations
  • Preparation of monthly management reports
  • Reporting & and preparation of management reports as required
  • In the Purchasing Managers absence to raise P.O.'s to enable the purchasing of services and materials
  • To carry out duties as specified by the Directors as required by the business
