Part-Time Finance Assistant
Nr Cirencester
£12.82 ph (£25,000 FTE)

The Trust’s mission is to inspire young people to achieve better educational and life outcomes through a range of Outdoor Learning programmes and activities.

Our clients are seeking a Part-Time Finance Assistant to join the Finance Team as soon as possible. This is a Temporary to Permanent position.

As the Finance Assistant, you’ll collaborate closely with the Finance team to ensure the smooth functioning of the department. Your primary role will involve supporting team members, particularly in managing Purchase Invoices/Orders and maintaining the Cash Book. You’ll actively contribute to process improvement initiatives and play a crucial part in providing crucial financial information to facilitate timely decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance team in day-to-day operations
  • Manage the Purchase Ledger, including preparing payment run recommendations
  • Maintain the Cash Book and provide regular cash position updates
  • Process cheques and oversee Finance-related emails
  • Administer the Vehicle Register, covering insurance, MOT, and tax details
  • Ensure efficiency and accuracy in Purchase Ledger record-keeping
  • Resolve internal and external queries promptly for smooth operations

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of or previous experience working with Purchase Ledger in a multi-functional Finance team
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Previous experience with finance software
  • Ability to identify and proactively address invoicing issues
