Credit Controller

Part Time Hours - Monday - Friday (4-5 hours per day) £18,000 per annum.

We are pleased to be recruiting for a Credit Controller.

The candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

  • To Build relationships with customers to provide an accurate, efficient and consistent credit control service.
  • To Manage the sales ledger accounts, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds and reconciling against invoices, resolving account queries and managing debt recovery.
  • To Evaluate new credit requests including checking credit ratings to decide whether to allow credit and advising on credit limits.
  • To Perform ongoing evaluation of credit limits for existing customers to minimise risk of exposure to bad debts.
  • To Communicate with other departments within the organisation with regards to processing and despatch of orders dependent on status of customer’s account.
  • To Set up new customer accounts, including web-based accounts, obtain references and customer confirmation of terms.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

  • Sound education background with an aptitude for working with numbers. Either CICM qualified or qualified by experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Highly experienced in credit control practices and procedures
  • Computer literate and able to work with accounting systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Accurate, efficient, and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed.

Ability to maintain strong relationships with external customers as well as internal colleagues.

Professional, confident, and diplomatic when liaising with others by telephone, email, and face to face.
