Part time Credit Controller - Office based 

Location: Ipswich (Head Office)

Hours: Part-time (24 hours per week)

Salary: £27,000 per annum pro rata  PLUS ANNUAL BONUS ££

Our client is a dynamic and growing company in the heart of Ipswich, seeking an experienced Part time Credit Controller to join their finance team. As a key player, you’ll be responsible for maintaining an efficient sales ledger and credit control process from start to finish.

The Role



As a Credit Controller, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth financial operations and supporting our business growth. Your mission? To keep our cash flow healthy and our relationships strong.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Checking: You’ll be the gatekeeper, meticulously assessing new customer accounts and setting appropriate credit limits.
  • Customer Setup: Setting up new customer accounts and maintaining controls around new customers will be your forte.
  • Debt Collection: Chase outstanding debt like a pro! Resolve customer queries and escalate issues when needed.
  • Billing Accuracy: Collaborate with UK depots to ensure monthly billing is spot-on, following individual customer requirements.
  • Timely Payments: Upload invoices to the Tradex platform, ensuring payments flow seamlessly.
  • Attend global credit control meetings, contributing to our adherence to company guidelines.
  • Legal Action: When necessary, recommend overdue accounts for legal action.
  • Month-End Support: Assist with month-end procedures—because precision matters.
  • Cash Management: Post cash receipts and reconcile the cashbook.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: You’re adaptable and ready for any challenge.

  • Confident Communicator: You thrive in a busy finance team, embracing challenges and responsibilities.
