Part Time Bookkeeper - Freelance - 100 remote working

Our client a specialist charity is seeking an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper on a freelance basis.

Previous practice experience is ideally required, knowledge of the charity sector accounting processes is essential and the successful candidate must also be an expert in Xero, ideally Xero Certified.

The Offer:

• £16 to £17 per hour
• Remote working
• Part Time hours, working 4 hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Experience with transitioning and bringing the accounting function in-house
• Expert in Xero - Assist with the set up on Xero and with clearing the backlog on the systems, and able to train team on Xero as required - expenses /automations etc
• Embedding appropriate controls to ensure all reconciliations, statutory filings, pension and legally required filings and payments are made
• Solid book keeping experience and ability to produce a set of accounts.
• Able to put in necessary controls and reconciliations and ensure all statutory or other requirements are met.
• Any other tasks in support of the Finance manager as may be required from time to time.
• Strong accuracy, communication, time management , flexibility and attention to detail will be required to be successful in this role

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a similar role required
• Seeking a suitable candidate with their own equipment, with Xero installed, to work remotely and be flexible with availability
• Practice experience a distinct advantage
• Charity sector experience is essential
