Part Time Adult Social Care Lawyer – South East – Highly Competitive Hourly Rate – Hybrid or Remote Working

Position: Adult Social Care Lawyer

Organisation: South East based Local Authority

Duration: 3-month contract

Working Pattern: Part time

Working Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote

Hourly Rate:  HighlyCompetitive hourly rate

Venn Group’s legal team are working with a forward thinking Local Authority based in the South East to assist with recruiting a Part time Adult Social Care Lawyer.

The ideal candidate for this role will be either a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has proven experience of undertaking a wide range of Adult Social Care work and has local authority experience.

Duties shall include:

1-       Providing legal advice focusing on Court of Protection work as well as matters such as ordinary residence, Care Act 2014, funding disputes and Mental Health Act 1986 queries

2-       Drafting and responding to court applications to the High Court and Court of Protection

3-       Instructing counsel for court proceedings

4-       Conducting professional meetings

5-       To ensure that all work is carried out to the standards required by the arrangement with the client and by any policy or practice management standards
