The Opportunity

We’re hiring for an Accounts Assistant to come and join our vibrant Finance Team on a part time basis (30 hours p/w). Footasylum has been developing as one of the UK’s leading omni-channel retailers and the strength of our Head Office operation is our people. We are looking for a motivated individual to work closely in the Finance team and the wider business.

Why Footasylum?

We’ve been going through a digital transformation, changing how we deliver value to our business. A big part of this change is fostering a culture of being open and honest, collaborating, having fun and enabling psychological safety.

We want to create a place for teams to do their best work, and you will have the opportunity to influence our decisions, help define standards across the stakeholders and contribute to a healthy and happy working environment.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and curious individual who wants to build their experience in Finance. Communication is key in this role, so you will be comfortable within your ability to communicate to the rest of your team and the wider business as required. The team use MS Office and Excel, so you should be comfortable with these programs.

What you will do

You will be responsible for travel and expenses and delivering great customer service when dealing with internal and external queries.

You will check and validate all expense claims in line with the company policies and raise any discrepancies.

You will manage the expenses mailbox and deal with all queries quickly and efficiently.

You will set up new users and manage all existing users.

You will be responsible for month-end reports and ad-hoc reports as required.

You will assist and gain exposure to other areas of the department, including purchase ledger and banking when required.

Diversity

We recognise and value the importance of diversity to help make sure we have lots of different perspectives when we are building products and services. We know that this will help us build useful and accessible things which our customers will love. This is great news for our business. Diversity for us is also, importantly, about building happy teams full of people that want to learn and want to be inspired by each other and our different experiences and backgrounds.

Recruitment Process

We’ll help make the interview process as transparent and stress-free as possible.

We review applications individually, and if we feel you would be a good fit, we’ll invite you for a call or Teams video for an informal chat about the role and to see if we’re a good fit for you.

We value open and honest conversations and collaboration, allowing you to learn about our work in an informal and friendly environment. We want to know about you and why you feel this is your opportunity.

Please note this is not a remote role, and we expect that you will be able to attend Head Office in a hybrid way in Greater Manchester.
