Konker is currently recruiting for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join a collaborative practice that is located on the outskirts of Cheltenham.
 
The RIBA Chartered Practice is well-established with a close-knit team of 18 working in their barn-converted office.
 
They adore the old-fashioned designs, but put them into a modern climate, using thoughtful and sensitive design.
 
This practice has a great working environment with a friendly, sociable office culture.
 
There are opportunities for social endeavours with weekly yoga sessions, an office garden and a relaxation area.
This innovative and forward-thinking practice works on a variety of different projects in the residential sector – new builds, conversions, listed buildings, and renovations. Their clients and projects are very luxurious/high-end.
 
They are seeking a confident Part 2 Architectural Assistant that has the necessary skills to work across all RIBA stages (0-7) on new builds and existing schemes. The ideal candidate will have skills and experience using Vectorworks and obtain some skills in project management needed to run a project.
 
Day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting in running projects varying in sizes and prices (£300K - £3MIL+) liaising with clients, working through RIBA stages 0-7, liaising with consultants and specialists, and managing clients’ expectations throughout the process.
 
The Role: Part 2 Architectural Assistant
  • Confident in using Vectorworks
  • RIBA Stages 0-7
  • High-end residential
  • Assisting in the project running at all stages/project management
  • Coordinating drawings and detailed information
  • Confident in liaising with clients, consultants, and other business professionals (local council)
  • Site visits – able to resolve queries on-site
The salary for this Part 2 Architectural Assistant position ranges from £26K - £33K (DOE). They have on-site parking, and will provide support/mentoring for your Part 3 too.
