An exciting opportunity has arisen for a bright and motivated school/sixth form/college leaver or has an interest in parking engineering to join us as a Engineer Parking Apprentice at our office in Slough.

The successful candidate will be enrolled on to the Civil Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme where you will join the CIHT [Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation] as an Apprentice member. You will be assisting in the delivery of a range of transportation related projects on behalf of both public and private sector clients. This will include undertaking site surveys, data analysis and technical work.

The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to learn on the job and gain experience while studying.

The role will develop the successful candidate's skills and experience in:

• Assisting with the investigation and the design of Parking schemes.
• Draft reports and technical notes
• CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
• Supporting Senior and Principal Engineers on parking management schemes and programmes
• Data analysis and GIS
• Supporting with Traffic Order process

Essential Requirements

• Educated to GCSE level.
• Good IT skills
• Able to work as part of a team.

Personal Characteristics

• Quick learner
• 'Can-do' attitude with plenty of initiative
• Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Willing to study towards approved Engineering qualification.
• Any working experience within parking/engineering sector.
