We are recruiting an experienced, high calibre paraplanner to work closely with our client, a team of Chartered financial advisers to design, develop, and implement comprehensive financial plans that exceed their clients' expectations.
Our client is a Chartered Independent Financial advisers based in Chester. Their mission is to provide financial guidance and support that helps their clients achieve their goals.
As a Chartered IFA, they actively encourage and fully support all of their colleagues in their
professional development and will fund study material and examination costs to support CII
Learning pathways.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing analysis of client's existing portfolio
  • Provision of technical support to Advisers
  • Completing calculations (i.e., income tax, IHT, Capital Gains Tax, Lifetime Allowance, Pension Annual Allowance, Carry Forward, Chargeable Gains, Cashflow Modelling etc.)
  • Working closely with the Adviser to research and formulate appropriate advice
  • Preparation of Recommendation Reports and supplementary documentation
  • Adherence to compliance procedures, core values and high standards of client service
  • Regular liaison with product providers, account managers and clients
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of financial products and markets to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs

Skills and experience
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on turning complex financial data into actionable, client-friendly solutions.

  • You have previous experience of working within an Independent Financial Adviser practice
  • You are organised & methodical
  • You have excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • You are organised and able to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • You have effective communication skills
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • You thrive working as part of a team
  • You have strong IT skills, specifically in MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience of IO (Intelliflo) back-office system would be an advantage, together with experience of some, or all, of the following platforms:

  • SelectaPension
  • Financial Express
  • Trigold
  • Assureweb
  • ExWeb
  • MiCap
  • Investment Platforms; Abrdn, Aviva & Aegon

The ideal candidate will have several years of paraplanning experience, RO qualifications would be preferred but not essential if experience can be evidenced.
