My client, a leading financial services practice, is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their team on the outskirts of Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful organisation that has a long and impressive history of helping clients achieve their financial goals.

The Role

The purpose of this role will be to provide technical support to a team of financial planners who deal with a range of wealth management issues including pensions, investments and protection.

You will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge of the financial services sector, with ongoing in-house training and development.

Duties will include:

* Conducting research on products and providers, assisting them in finding the right solutions for clients
* Creating suitability reports justifying the reason for each piece of advice
* Writing Financial Planning Reports for planners to present to clients
* Assisting with reviews and customer requests as well as acting as a point of contact for clients to deal with day-to-day queries
* Arranging for plans to be submitted to provider companies liaising with administrators
* Maintaining client records on the company software and ensuring the client and firm's files are well presented, accurate and compliant
* Preparation of client review packs
* Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation
* Complying with all company and industry guidelines, rules and regulations

The ideal candidate will have:

* Experience working in a similar role in the financial services sector
* A good understanding of financial services products and the regulatory framework
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* The ability to work to tight deadlines
* Strong organisational skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A professional and confident telephone manner
