My client is a growing family run Financial Advisory firm based in the North Leeds areas, providing business and individuals with sound financial advice relating to Pensions, Investment & Wealth Management, Tax Planning & Estate Planning.

Due to a 5-year growth plan for the business we are now seeking an additional Paraplanner to join an existing team of back office staff, in supporting the Financial Advisers of the business.

As a Paraplanner you will be responsible for:

  • Paraplanning:
    • Conducting full research.
    • Risk rating of new and existing funds.
    • Preparing suitability reports
    • Reviewing reports.
    • Fund switch reports and GIA to ISA reports.
    • Ensuring that all files are fully compliant and finished.
    • Dealing/replying to all remedials within prompt timescales.
  • Work with administrator and Intelligent Office (IO); inputting facts finds/IRPs and Expenditure Questionnaires, creating Service Case/Binder/Opportunity for all new business/review cases, putting new business onto the system, maintaining status/updating plans and general housekeeping.
  • Ensure all new business applications are submitted within timescales. Amend Service Case/Binder/Opportunity for all new business and upload relevant documents in the correct binders.
  • Managing client queries, working alongside the Administrator to ensure client interaction is seamless.
  • Cover for Administrator when not in the office.
  • Provide support to IFA to assist in driving the business forward.
  • To follow all processes and procedures for the paraplanner role

Ideally for this role we are seeking a qualified or near to qualification Paraplanner with around 1-2 years experience, probably looking for their 2nd role within Paraplanning. We will also consider those who are studying towards their Level 4 Diploma, but ideally having passed one or two of the exams already and having a few years experience working within the Financial Advice sector, ideally within an IFA firm. You will be educated to A Level standard, with good grades.
