Panel Wireperson

Location: Oundle, Peterborough PE8 4HN
Salary:
£25,000 - £27,000

We are currently seeking a skilled Panel Wireperson to join our team at Eltek House. This role involves the assembly of stainless and mild steel enclosures, wiring electrical components, and supporting the Workshop Manager and Team. If you have the necessary skills and experience, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of stainless and mild steel enclosures.
  • Laying out chassis plates using measuring tape, ruler, drills, taps, and rivets.
  • Reading drawings for the installation of electrical components.
  • Wiring electrical components to specified drawings using stripping and crimping tools.
  • Travel within the UK and abroad on the requirements of Projects.
  • Support the Workshop Manager and Team to assemble metal enclosures and wire electrical components.

Knowledge:

  • Ability to build metal panels and enclosures to a high-quality standard, complying with industry and customer standards and regulations.
  • Electrical wiring skills.
  • Level 3 Electrical Engineering - City and Guilds.

Essential Skills:

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to translate, understand, and build from technical drawings.
  • Good interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent time management skills and a structured approach to workload.
  • Right first-time approach with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Safety-first approach with a willingness to seek assistance when required.
  • Highly self-motivated with good team working skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and approach.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and ability to drive to business locations.

Preferable:

  • Willingness to undertake further professional development and training.

Desirable:

  • Forklift Truck license.
