Are you a compassionate and dedicated Palliative Care Consultant seeking a fulfilling opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives? Day Webster Recruitment Agency is currently recruiting for a Palliative Care Consultant to join a reputable healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize symptom management and enhance quality of life
  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of holistic care, including pain management, symptom control, and psychosocial support
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to facilitate shared decision-making and provide emotional support
  • Participate in regular case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to review patient care plans and address complex issues
  • Provide leadership and education to healthcare professionals, students, and volunteers involved in palliative care delivery
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects to advance the field of palliative care

Requirements:
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register for Palliative Medicine
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive experience in providing palliative care to patients with complex needs, including managing symptoms and addressing psychosocial issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to upholding dignity and respecting patients' choices
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice in palliative care
