Painter & Decorator Trainer
  • Annual Salary: £30,722.81 to £37,059.79 (inclusive of London weighting)
  • Location: London Borough of Hounslow
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a Painter & Decorator Trainer to join our team within the Offender Learning Sector. This role is pivotal in providing individuals with the vocational skills necessary for future employment. If you possess extensive industry experience and have a passion for teaching, we encourage you to apply, even if you do not currently hold a formal teaching qualification.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver high-quality vocational training in Painting and Decorating.
  • Engage with small groups of learners, preparing them for industry employment.
  • Develop learners’ practical and theoretical skills with a strong emphasis on health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to offer employment insights and inspire learner ambitions.
  • Manage live projects to enhance the educational experience.
  • Create tailored learning plans to meet individual learner goals and ensure they are ready for employment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the relevant vocational area.
  • Willingness to gain an Award in Education within 6 months.
  • Willingness to gain the TAQA assessment qualification within probation.
  • Commitment to gain a subject-specific qualification to train to Level 3 within 2 years.
  • Commitment to gain an assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies within one year.
  • Hold at least a Level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or be willing to gain the qualification(s) within 1 year.
  • Ability to secure, hold, and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
