Paint Sprayer - Classic Car Restorer

• Salary: £33,462 pa, plus overtime paid at time and a half.
• Location in the Cambourne, Cambs. area (Rural location)
• Monday - Friday - 39 hours per week

We're excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a skilled Classic Car Restorer who is a specialised Paint Sprayer to join this small, dedicated team to preserve and enhance the beauty of classic automobiles.

Your role will involve delivering top-notch panel preparation and painting services primarily for high-end classic sport automobiles. We seek an individual deeply passionate about maintaining the utmost standards of repair with a sharp focus on detail. Strong time management and organisational abilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Executing all stages of vehicle painting, including:

• Surface Preparation
• Paint Application
• Colour Matching
• Polishing
• Equipment Maintenance
• Quality Control
• Documentation
• Candidates need to be versatile and willing to tackle other areas of bodywork restoration

Requirements:

• Preferably, you should have significant experience as a Paint Sprayer within a stable career history in a body-shop environment, demonstrating a hands-on and results-oriented approach.
• Profound understanding of automotive systems and the specific materials necessary for vehicle body repair processes.
• An enthusiastic and driven individual capable of consistently delivering top-quality work.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards are prerequisites for this role.
• Experience in metalworking, such as welding and panel beating, would be advantageous.
• Passion for classic cars and a deep appreciation for automotive history.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in automotive paint application and restoration is beneficial.

The position entails a 39-hour work week, Monday to Friday.

Working Hours:

• Monday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
• Tuesday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Wednesday/Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
• Friday: 7:30 am - 12 noon (unless working overtime)

Overtime opportunities are generally available and compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate from Monday to Friday and on Saturday mornings. Your pay rate is contingent upon your experience.
