Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert paediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of medical conditions and illnesses.
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and management plans for paediatric patients, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform procedures, treatments, and interventions as required, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and outpatient services, delivering compassionate and family-centered care.
- Support junior medical staff and students through teaching, supervision, and mentorship.
- Contribute to audit, research, and quality improvement projects to enhance paediatric services and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Completion of core paediatric training and entry onto the Specialist Register (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in providing paediatric care in a hospital setting, including neonatal and paediatric intensive care units.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to patient-centred care, safety, and continuous professional development.
