Our client, a renowned consumer goods company, is seeking an experienced Packaging Technologist to join their team on a fixed-term contract for 6 months, possibly longer. As a Packaging Technologist, you will play a vital role in developing and improving packaging solutions for their diverse range of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product development teams to understand packaging requirements and specifications.
  • Design, prototype, and test packaging solutions for various products, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to optimise packaging efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about emerging packaging technologies and trends to propose innovative ideas and improvements.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source materials, manage timelines, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide technical support to cross-functional teams throughout the packaging development process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing packaging solutions for consumer goods.
  • Proficient in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, printing techniques, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
