Qualified Social Worker - Oxfordshire - Children's Locality Team
Location: Bicester and surrounding villages
How are cases allocated? We receive allocations via our assessment teams called IAS and ISIT - we have weekly allocations meetings as managers to agree who will be allocated families
What practice model is used? We use the family solutions plus model which is similar to the Family safeguarding model (this includes group supervision and adult facing practitioners for MH). We also use restorative practice, motivational interviewing and trauma informed practice.
Will I have access to training? Yes to mandatory training
Is there support available? Yes - regular supervision
How often will I need to be in the office? It will vary each week - workers are expected to attend the office for duty cover 2-3 times a month and to complete there visits so probably works out at 2-3 times a week
How does the duty rota work? Workers volunteer to cover duty days - 2- 3 days per month for each worker
What is parking at the office like? No parking available on site. Public car park 5 mins walk from office. £5.50 per day to park there.
What is the team like? Lovely, approachable, stable and committed team.

Your main responsibilities include:
* Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance, and support, reflecting the function of the team and the Vulnerable People Service in accordance with policy, procedures, guidance and legislation.
* Undertake work within legislative frameworks including the preparation of written statements and representations to the judiciary at Court hearings.
* You will be accountable for complex decision making in relation to caseloads ensuring professional judgement, service user involvement, needs led assessment, critical reflection, and analysis to inform this.
* You will identify and assess levels of risk and need (within statutory frameworks) in often complex situations. Undertake safeguarding investigations and deliver protective and/or supportive services for individuals at risk and maintain up to date assessments, care plans and reviews.
* You will be preparing statements of need/care and support plans, in consultation with other agencies as appropriate, that reflect the wishes of the individual and lead to the commissioning of personalised packages of care.
* You will undertake direct work with adults and their families in line with care plans.
* You will work co-operatively with both internal and external colleagues across multi - agency boundaries.
Essential requirements:
* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* 2 years+ post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
