The organisation

In this Outreach Homeless Prevention Worker opportunity in Birmingham, you will join an organisation whose main purpose Is tackle homelessness In Solihull and surrounding areas whilst in recovery for substance misuse.

Key responsibilities

In this Outreach Homeless Prevention Worker job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing clients as soon as they enter the service - completing risk assessment and checks on their living situations - checking If they qualify for housing support
  • Handling tenancy sign ups and evictions when required - health and safety checks on site
  • Calculating service charge / dealing with rent arrears / housing benefits
  • Provide appropriate housing advice In line with housing legislation
  • Refer and signpost appropriately to relevant services
  • To utilise legal advice services to effectively advocate on a clients behalf.

Requirements of a Outreach Homeless Prevention Worker

  • Proven track record of working within homeless prevention or a role similar
  • DBS on the update service or issued within 12 months
  • Able to start asap - temp to perm for the right candidate.
