Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clinically support services including, ENT, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology.
- To assess, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for Outpatients.
- To provide nursing care without supervision, within the level of the post-holder’s experience and competence
- To manage medication, specimen sampling and assisting with procedures as required.
- To participate as team member, including supporting relatives and friends of patients/clients
- Work collaboratively with a variety of clinical staff members to include GP’s, Audiology Services, Radiographers, Sonographers, Endoscopy Clinicians and Consultants and across all clinical services
- Maintain accurate records, communicate effectively and work within the strict guidelines protecting the patients confidentiality and privacy.
- Provide ssupport and deputise for the Lead outpatient Nurse when required.
- Take on link nurse/lead roles in Infection prevention and staff education within the scope of your previous experience.
You will be encouraged and provided with resources to gain new skills in order to provide the best care and service to our patients.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Essential: Venepuncture trained.
- Essential: NMC registered nurse
- Essential: ANTT competent.
- Essential: IT skills and ability to work with online programmes
- Desirable: Experience in ENT, Endoscopy and ophthalmology is desirable
- Desirable: Evidence of previous experience in clinic/outpatients settings
- Desirable: Experience of working in the private sector.
