Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clinically support services including, ENT, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology.
• To assess, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for Outpatients.
• To provide nursing care without supervision, within the level of the post-holder’s experience and competence
• To manage medication, specimen sampling and assisting with procedures as required.
• To participate as team member, including supporting relatives and friends of patients/clients
• Work collaboratively with a variety of clinical staff members to include GP’s, Audiology Services, Radiographers, Sonographers, Endoscopy Clinicians and Consultants and across all clinical services
• Maintain accurate records, communicate effectively and work within the strict guidelines protecting the patients confidentiality and privacy.
• Provide ssupport and deputise for the Lead outpatient Nurse when required.
• Take on link nurse/lead roles in Infection prevention and staff education within the scope of your previous experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Essential: Venepuncture trained.
• Essential: NMC registered nurse
• Essential: ANTT competent.
• Essential: IT skills and ability to work with online programmes
• Desirable: Experience in ENT, Endoscopy and ophthalmology is desirable
• Desirable: Evidence of previous experience in clinic/outpatients settings
• Desirable: Experience of working in the private sector.
