An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join our prestigious financial planning client in north Leeds

The firm itself pride themselves on very high quality and compliant client servicing and the ultimate aim of the role is to ensure this is consistent throughout the IFA support team.

The position:

  • Responsibility for day to day operational management of all administration functions
  • Design and implement business strategy to ensure the support function is streamlined and continuously improving
  • Supervisory duties to ensure work is distributed and allocated correctly amongst the team leaders and team members
  • Responsible for one-to-ones and team member appraisals
  • To engage with the different teams to create new processes and systems to improve controls and efficiency

The person:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Financial Planning processes and experience of operational management within an IFA environment (essential)
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and improve members of staff
  • Strong working knowledge of compliance issues and FCA standards and ability to maintain this at all times
  • Good knowledge of financial products and Advice related issues with a particular focus on suitability and recommendation
  • Analytically minded with the ability to review and improve processes so that the efficiency of the support function is constantly improving
