Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join my clients team. The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing administrative and paraplanning functions within the practice. Working closely with the Head of Wealth Management and Advisor Business Unit Lead, the Operations Manager will ensure the seamless operation of the practice while supporting their team of advisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of administrative staff and paraplanners, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks and business processing to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Wealth Management and Advisor Business Unit Lead to develop and implement operational strategies that support the growth and success of the practice.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Act as a key point of contact for advisers, providing support and guidance on operational matters.
  • Lead and participate in various projects aimed at improving processes, systems, and overall practice efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma qualified through CII preferred
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the financial services industry, preferably within the SJP umbrella and with previous Paraplanning experience also preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
  • Sound knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
