We have a great opportunity for an Operations Manager (Pensions & Life) to join a leading Global Financial Services organisation based in Crawley.

You will lead the Operations Team responsible for providing back-office pension and life services and have responsibility for Team Manager direct reports. The primary focus of this role is to deliver an excellent customer experience ensuring that service level agreements are met, continuous change improvements made and managing key stakeholder relationships.

As Operations Manager (Pensions & Life) you will be responsible for:
  • Leading the back-office Operations Team to ensure strategic objectives are consistently met and contribute to future strategy and vision.
  • Operational management and delivery of running a complex, multi-platform legislative team.
  • Ensuring all areas are compliant with all relevant legislation and regulation.
  • Seeking creative and innovative ways to deliver operational continuous improvement whilst maintaining quality, compliance and service level agreements.
  • Coaching mentoring and performance management of your Team.
  • Develop and cultivate strong and effective stakeholder relationships to ensure best practice approaches are implemented across operation.
  • Create a diverse, open and inclusive culture that supports the organisations clear values and behaviours.
We are looking for an Operations Manager (Pensions & Life) with the following skills and experience:
  • Experience of managing a back office Operational Financial Services Team providing at least one of the following key services: Pension, Wealth, Life or Retirement services within a corporate regulatory environment.
  • Preferably knowledge and understanding of either UK Pension or UK Retirement products and options.
  • Previous experience of leading, motivating and coaching teams through periods of change.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills to build and proactively manage third-party professional relationships, stakeholders and customers effectively.
  • Sound commercial awareness and judgement - understanding of external economic factors that may impact delivery and legislation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to formulate innovative solutions to optimise outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills to understand high volumes of data.
  • Champion of continuous improvement and exceptional customer journey experience.
  • Have the legal right to live and work in the UK.

This is a hybrid role where you will be working Monday-Friday with no weekends.
